Space Day

Space Day on the 1st May aims to nurture young people's enthusiasm for the wonders of the universe and inspire them to continue the stellar work of today's space explorers.

This week's KS2-3 featured lesson includes:
  • Audio: Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra (theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey) and pieces from Holst's The Planets Suite
  • Images: giant twisters in the Lagoon Nebula, a clash of clusters and other images from space courtesy of NASA
  • Video: documentary and images of space accompanied by music
